Epiphany Concert at Teatro Mediterraneo Naples

Will be staged on Sunday, January 4, at 8:30 pm, in the spaces of the Mediterranean Theater of Naples (in the Mostra d’Oltremare) and will then broadcast Tuesday, January 6 at 9:35 am on Rai Uno Italian Tv the twentieth edition of the Epiphany Concert, a traditional beginning of the year that offers a mix of religion, culture and music. As in the previous edition, the show will host the awards “Nativity in the world” which, among others, will feature the coach Claudio Ranieri, “called to represent an idea of clean sport and fair”, and Peppino di Capri, awarded by the thickness of his international career.

“Thanks to the renewed support of Rai Uno also returns this year appointment” says Giuseppe Reale, president of the “Oltre il Chiostro” and creator of the event. “The twenty editions of the music festival represented a unique opportunity to meet: well 234, in fact, are the artists, national and international, who made Naples a cultural capital in the center of the Mediterranean”, he adds.

To inspire the musical story of the Epiphany Concert 2015, the organizers point out, “will be the message that Pope Francis sent at the XLVIII World Day of Peace: the words ‘no longer slaves, but the brothers’ will be the main theme of the many interventions, musical or otherwise, which will mark the lineup of the evening”.

“We are finalizing the last details of the cast in 2015,” says artistic director, Francesco Sorrentino. “Renewing a happy tradition give space to Italian and international musicians, confirming once again that music can be a powerful tool for dialogue”.

All artists will be accompanied by the Orchestra of Santa Chiara conducted by Renato Serio; to conduct the event this year will be Veronica Maya. The Epiphany Concert and the full cast will be presented Saturday, January 3 at a press conference scheduled in the cloister of Santa Maria la Nova at 11:30 am.
