Cultural heritage, opens the construction of the Carditello Royal Palace

A treasure of the “Terra Felix” soon returned to the community. Has officially opened the construction site for the restoration and enhancement of the Carditello Royal Palace (the work will be completed by the end of 2015), the historic architectural complex of via Foresta at Carditello, in the City of San Tammaro (Caserta), built by Carlo di Borbone (1716-1788) as a place for hunting and breeding of horses and then transformed, by the will of king Ferdinando IV di Borbone (1751-1825), in a model farm for the cultivation of grain and breeding of special breeds of horses and cattle. The work is funded for 3 million euro Funds Operational Program Interregional “Attractors cultural, natural and tourism” (POIn). In addition to the restoration and enhancement of the structure, will also serve to improve the reception of the historical-cultural and natural structure formerly known by the nickname of “Real Delight”. The Director Gregorio Angelini underlines the importance of the intervention: “Is a yard symbol of the rebirth of an area battered and degraded that finally will return to live the ancient splendor, the opportunity for redemption for the people who live in these places and that will find, in the recovery of this prestigious site, dignity sorely tested by the episodes that have involved them in recent years”. The head of the procedure is the Superintendent Salvatore Buonomo, the direction of the work is entrusted to the Giuseppina Torriero, an official of the Superintendence for Architectural, Landscape Historical, Anthropological Heritage (BAPSAE) of Caserta. The temporary association of companies that won the tender of the work and ‘the I.CO.RES Srl-FAIM Srl.
