Started the campaign to promote and raise funds for the “Faito Doc Festival” thematic review of the international documentary film now in its seventh edition. The event will take place August 4 to 9 coming in the magical setting of the park ‘s natural Mount Faito (including partly in the town of Vico Equense). It will be open with the opening night hosted in the beautiful terrace of the Royal Palace of Quisisana in Castellammare di Stabia.
Organized by Monteamare association, conceived and directed by Turi Finocchiaro and Nathalie Rossetti, the event will combine documentaries from all over the world with a common denominator: empathy, the subject chosen as the theme for the 2014 festival. To evaluate the films in the race there will be a panel of industry experts.
137 directors are enrolled in the exhibition movies while the organizers received well over 250 fee. A dozen, for the time being (6 medium/long, 5 short films and experimental 1) those that seem to have already satisfied the interest of the organizers and therefore are already ready to be screened. Meanwhile, as the directors of the festival are struggling with the selection of films, the web is mobilized to support the event, launching the subscription of Ulule.
“Has arrived – write the staff volunteers – time to get involved and be an active part of the festival. Doing so is easy just take a pen and paper and write the hashtag #faitodocfestival support us on Ulule taking a picture”. Post the photo and tag Faito Doc is the appeal in the network. Several selfie who are already enriching the page of the festival. “In 2013 – conclude the creators of the event – together we can make a special edition. So here we are again with a new challenge : to dedicate the 2014 Festival of empathy. Turn the light on the project and its cultural goals”.
