“20 anni con Pino (addòve!)”- foto Alessandro d'Urso

The lives, privacy, crew, backstage, musicians, fans and a gallery of gorgeous portraits of the great artist who died prematurely.

From Friday, October 16 until January 10, 2016, the Pan -Palace of Arts of Naples will host the exhibition “20 years with Pino (addòve!)”, edited by Roberta de Fabritiis, which will feature photos and videos of Alessandro d’Urso. The heartfelt tribute to a friend Pino Daniele, with which the author has shared two decades of his personal and professional life and for which he made 8 covers and many videos.

An exhibition studded with more than 180 images of different sizes, between black and white and color, and numerous video testimonials made available to the public, who can enjoy them through ad hoc positions.

More than an exhibition, a real declaration of love and esteem authentic. A witness for images, that can excite and engage as only art photography can do, ready to tell not only Pino Daniele, but also the suggestions and dreams of the young photographer who one day found himself confronted with a professionally his myths, a sacred monster of music. Meeting from which he has sprung a long and beautiful friendship.

The images on display, most of them unpublished, tell Pino Daniele from 1990 to 2008 in public and in private. The most intense period professionally for the singer who in those years has collaborated with the most important artist like Pat Metheny, Al Di Meola, Peter Erskine, Rachel Z, Jimmy Earl, made some memorable concerts and released two of the most successful albums: “Non calpestare i fiori nel deserto” e “Dimmi cosa succede sulla terra”.

The photos on display are made on film and then have a different flavor, because they know how to tell the time and the emotion behind the shot. With film imperfection becomes language because the texture, light, exposure, everything comes together to create an image sometimes not perfect, but for this unique and poetic.

Admission to the exhibition: 6 euro.
