A month full of commitments every weekend. It kicks off the project-event “The prize for the Royal Sites #dietamediterranea. World Heritage Sites in Campania between art, archeology, rural and business “dedicated to the Mediterranean Diet and included in the bill of the Expo events in Campania.

After the presentation of the project at the EXPO in Milan on July 22, starting four weekends of encounters and courses in food, art, archeology, science and events that will take place from 25 September to 25 October 2015 and will be centered around the major monuments Campania, as the residences of Portici Bourbon, Caserta and Carditello, the ruins of Pompeii, the Belvedere of San Leucio, the Royal Site of Capodimonte, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples and the monumental complex of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples.

The project aims to connect permanently the theme of the Mediterranean Diet and its food and agricultural products with the socio-scientific, institutional and productive South Italy and with the complex cultural, artistic and archaeological heritage of the South through the creation of a great thematic itinerary territorial and global reach, also with a view to better use of the system of UNESCO sites of Campania and southern Italy.

The four weekends are organized in two sessions, as we see.

Session 1. routes in the Mediterranean Diet every weekend, there will be a meeting devoted to the Mediterranean Diet with opportunities to exchange ideas, debate and tastings and a second meeting aimed at itineraries in World Heritage sites.

Friday, October 9, Capodimonte Expo, artisans of taste and the future of agriculture in the hills of Naples in collaboration with the City of Naples.

Sunday, October 11, the museum itinerary addition, the hill of a thousand treasures.

Friday, October 16, Youth and heritage Unesco in collaboration with the Second University of Naples (10 hours).

Saturday, October 17, UNESCO Heritage of Campania in collaboration with the UNESCO Club Caserta (10 hours).

Sunday, October 18, route Residences Borboniche of Campania Felix (10 hours)

Session 2. Festival of the Mediterranean Diet

From October 22 to 25 at the Monumental Complex of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples. During the Festival, will be studied issues related to regional areas of the Mediterranean diet; Saturday, October 24 will be held the Awards Ceremony Afan de Rivera and royal residences, to allocate their grants aimed at young students from South Italy and to hand over the awards to some personality and reality of excellence that have made outstanding contributions to the effort in favor of the Mediterranean Diet. In the four days of the Festival of the Mediterranean Diet will be held parallel meetings, conferences and workshops, storytelling and readings of taste, fittings, exposure and stands of typical products from Campania and yet itineraries in the historic center of Naples, UNESCO world heritage site since 1995. Some these activities will also involve school students in Naples and Campania.
