Futuro Remoto “moves” in Plebiscito square

It will be the central Plebiscito square in Naples and not, as usual, the traditional seat of the City of Science in Bagnoli, to accommodate 16 to 19 October, the heart of the 2015 Festival of Science “Futuro Remoto”.

Main theme and leitmotif of the event, will be the “Borders”, declined through exhibitions, events and conferences, which will take shape and the wide spaces close to the Royal Palace and in other prestigious venues in the city.

To welcome visitors young and old in the square, the largest village of Science divided into nine islands: Food, Sea, Innovation and future journey, Body/Mind, Space, Land, Factory, City, Signs and Symbols Signs. It is dotted by big pavilions that will host interactive workshops, demonstrations, objects, technologies and exhibits.

The agora, which is the main stage, will host performances, scientific experiments and meetings, while in open areas there will be demonstrations by the Army, Fire Department and Police.

Among the “protagonists” of the 29th edition of “Futuro Remoto”, the big “wall” of the Village, symbol of borders and boundaries. Wall that each day of the event will drop a piece, the work of a group of migrants, to the complete demolition.

The Festival program is still dense and will involve a bit ‘all over town, schools, theaters, cinemas and associations included.

Promoted primarily by the Fondazione Idis-Città della Scienza, University of Naples Federico II and the Regional Education Office for Campania, the event as co-sponsors the Eastern University Institute and other universities of the Campania, CIRA Campania and Development, the State Museums of Campania and the Campania Region, in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts.
