Will start on Friday, April 10, at 20.45, in the ancient church of San Paolo Via Tasso, the “Sorrento Piano Festival 2015”, a festival of classical music dedicated to the piano, which will counter the surprising Earth sirens weekends between April and October. The piano, the undisputed star of the history of music, is presented, for the occasion, in his versatile as a soloist, chamber music, accompanist of voices and instruments, played by masterful interpreters of the new and old generation, with the execution of the masterpieces of classical music, composed “for” and “with” this instrument.
The first event, will perform four hands, with music by Brahms, Marco Schiavo and Sergio Marchegiani, April 24, again at 20.45, will be the turn of Sebastiano Brusco, which will offer works by Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin, Friday, May 1, instead, sacred music in the church of SS. Felice and Baccolo, always in via Tasso, with Francis Holland School Choir, May 2, at 20.45, again in the Church of St. Paul, Opera Arias and Chamber starring soprano Antonia E.M. Palazzo and pianist Paolo Scibilia. Last but not least, for this first phase of the festival, Friday, May 8, at 20.45, in the Church of St. Paul, the performance of Flavio Belardo, which will offer music by Bach, Beethoven and Chopin. Artistic director of the event is the Master Paolo Scibilia, former conductor of the prestigious summer music festival at the Cloister of St. Francis “Sorrento Classica”. Admission is free until all seats.
