In Naples the 1st Trophy Summer Games Sailing

Will begin tomorrow on 1 Trophy Summer Games – Grand Priory of Naples and Sicily, dedicated to the crews who want to challenge themselves in the waters of the Gulf of Naples on board the J22 class. The infant Trophy, was created to raise funds for different pilgrimage organized by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. The event is open to all teams who want to compete on board these boats, for sports excellence. To organize and host the challenge is the Circolo Vela Remo and Italy.

The race will be held according to the formula of the combined fleet racing and match racing, both Friday and Saturday, reserving, however, on Sunday for the prize-giving. Even now, however, most of the boats entered, including one from Vienna, have undertaken to sharpen your weapons and to find the right harmony maneuvering between the currents of the bay.

Highlight of the event will be, however, the dinner on Saturday evening to be held at the Circolo della Staffa, which contribute to the collection of funds, will join over the sailors in the race, also other guests generous that they’ll like to contribute to charitable and benevolent works.

But the event is not only provides sea. To enrich the event there will also be a series of side events dedicated to those who remain in the dock; while the competitors will be committed to climb the charts, their carers can choose to follow the race from the sea, or dive into history and art of our country, visiting the ruins of Pompeii or the beautiful Royal Palace.
