On January 5, 2017 part in Trevico, the hometown of Ettore Scola, the first Italian Festival of Cinegustologia, a new way of enjoying cinema through the analysis of taste created by Marco Lombardi, Professor of Film and Wine in some of the main Italian Universities . Conferences, tastings, workshops, screenings, performances and guided tours will be the ‘ingredients’ of the four days of the festival, which runs from 5 to 8 January 2017, and that involves the high Irpinia (also Vallesaccarda, the eco-gastronomic city and Zungoli, which is part of Italy’s most beautiful villages of the circuit) and part of Trevico, the village highest of the peninsular south. A medieval village high Irpinia, nestled between Campania and Puglia 1094 meters high, which gave birth (10 May 1931) to Ettore Scola, which celebrated its link with the city in the film “Trevico – Torino – Journey to the Fiat-Nam “, which became a symbol in the 70 ‘of emigration cinematic narratives of young southerners toward the great northern factories.
Today more than 40 years since that film of 1973, one of the great testimonies of the civil Scola film commitment, and exactly one year after the death of the director of Irpinia (19 January 2016) his hometown celebrates devoting it entirely to his works the first Italian Festival of Cinegustologia, with a busy cinegustologici events program, in collaboration with the Municipalities of Vallesaccarda and Zungoli, will be an extraordinary showcase of gastronomic excellence and landscape of the whole of the Barony Irpinia area, but will also, and above all, a way to offer to young people, and not only that, the chance to see some great masterpieces of the history of Italian cinema. A story that Ettore Scola has gone through for over forty years (it is dated 1964, his directorial debut), directing some of the greatest actors of Italian cinema as Vittorio Gassman, Sophia Loren, Nino Manfredi, Marcello Mastroianni, Giovanna Ralli, Alberto Sordi and Massimo Troisi, but also large international actors like Gerard Depardieu and Jack Lemmon.
