“The Italian National Commission for UNESCO has decided to nominate” The art of Neapolitan Pizzaiuoli” in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO for the 2015/2016 cycle reflecting the fact that the pizza is one of the symbols most popular of the made in Italy in the world and is able to convey, with a simple recipe but irresistible, different ingredients, all originating in our territory: tomatoes, olive oil, mozzarella, to name a few”.  He said the Secretary for Economic Development Simona Vicari speaking at Naples Pizza Village to Lungomare Caracciolo, for the recognition of the art in tomato sauce intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. The pizza is the product for all occasions from breakfast (8%) in the morning through lunch and snacks until you get to where dinner is on the top list of dishes chosen (75% of the occasions). This makes the pizza a cyclical sector, which is not affected by the economic crisis.
