Museums open doors in the moonlight … double! The Minister of Heritage and Cultural Activities and Tourism, Massimo Bray decided to extend until next January 2014, the event “Night at the Museum” , with the hope that the event will become , soon , “a permanent appointment”.

The decision was taken on the long wave of success achieved by that data in hand, recorded a high turnout of visitors. To understand, the Royal Palace of Caserta and the Museum of Capodimonte in Naples, two of the most popular art sites of Campania Felix, visitors , compared to the last edition of October 26 , they are even tripled! But similar data were also recorded in Rome and the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia is at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Antica in Barberini Palace.

Overall the visitors who, with their participation, have awarded the project promoted by the Ministry were 80 thousand. Visits, but not only. Because in this fifth edition , as commented the Director – General for Development of the Mibact, Anna Maria Buzzi “it seemed only right , combining culture and solidarity in support of Sardinian citizens affected by the flooding, promoting a fundraiser with the Italian Red Cross” . “We are pleased with the generous support of visitors and their great participation and sensitivity”  concluded Buzzi, paying “a special thanks to the artists who, with their shows, animated the Night of Museums through important expressions of art and creativity” .

The next round of “Night at the Museum” is on Saturday December 28. Then it will replicate in January. And the “Terra Felix” figure in the long list of places not to miss the beautiful country of view, with its artistic treasures. Naples in the first place, with visits to Castel Sant’Elmo, Royal Palace, the National Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Capodimonte. And then Caserta , with its “grand tour” in Vanvitellian complex of the Palace, the monumental discovery of the rooms of the palace built by King Carlo III and his extraordinary gardens that recall, in the forms and in the glittering sculptures, the magnificence of Versailles.
