Three days dedicated to the boar and chestnut in San Potito Ultra

Start Friday 18 at 19. Location Piazza Baroni Amatucci in the ancient village of Irpinia San Potito Ultra. The feast of the Boar and Chestnut is a twenty-year tradition, thanks to which many of those present can enjoy typical local cuisine where the absolute protagonists are the wild boar and chestnuts, food is not always present on the tables towns. Let’s see what offer the precious menu. If you feel the scent of barbecued, you will not go wrong. Excellent barbecued pork and wild boar-based sausages, sausages and ribs, will be turned on in some of the booths. Moving on to the main courses, the pasta will be offered in two specialties, with wild boar sauce and sausages and pumpkin.

Afterwards you can go looking for a very tasty chestnut soup and beans, or the traditional roasted chestnuts. And to close, many sweets made from chestnut pastry chefs will prepare local, including the famous Guinness Book of Records by socket. Excellent wine and good music will accompany popular throughout the event. During the festival it will be able to visit the country, its museum and its churches, and by appointment on the dairy laboratory, the nougat craftsmanship and “NazzaroFruits”, a company that deals with the processing of chestnuts.

The festival will take place on the evenings of 16 and 17 starting at 19 and obviously the entrance to the square is free but a fee will be food stands. 18 for Sunday lunch is available by reservation only, with tickets purchased before 12 am on Saturday 17.
