It provides a signed agreement with the \u201c<strong>Packard Foundation Institute for Cultural Heritage<\/strong>\u201d by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beniculturali.it\/mibac\/export\/MiBAC\/index.html#&amp;panel1-1\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Ministry of Culture and Tourism<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coesioneterritoriale.gov.it\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Ministry for Territorial Cohesion<\/strong> <\/a>and the municipality of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/en\/news\/foto-vesuvio-vince-concorso-web\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Vesuvian<\/strong> <\/a>town.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement, explain the ministry headed by <strong>Massimo Br<\/strong>ay, provides for the extension of the archaeological site of the ancient Roman colony destroyed by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/en\/itinerari\/vesuvio-la-cartolina-di-napoli-che-meraviglia-pretende-rispetto\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>eruption of 79 AD<\/strong><\/a>, through the acquisition of an area of 5,171 square meters to the north west of ruins, demolition of certain buildings crumbling, with its fence of surfaces and safety of the area and the redevelopment, by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comune.ercolano.na.it\/erc\/internet\/home\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>City of Herculaneum<\/strong><\/a>, the space between Via Cortili and Via Mare at the border northwest of the site.
