And later discovered also by the colonizers of the City.<br \/>\nHere, among the picturesque medieval villages perched on the gentle slopes overlooking the sea, from March 21 to May 18, will be held a unique artistic and culinary event called<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cilento.it\/2014\/03\/11\/con-cilento-no-limits-si-svolgera-cilento-art-and-food\/12402\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>&#8220;Cilento Art and Food&#8221;<\/strong><\/a>, sponsored by the city of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comune.ascea.sa.it\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Ascea<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the center of the event: the <strong>gastronomic excellence cilentana<\/strong> that will transform the surrounding countries participating in real <strong>citadels of taste<\/strong> to be reached by tourist buses. However, if you prefer a more folk then you can do so directly to the horse or even a donkey.<br \/>\nBut first things first and we anticipate something about the many activities planned.<\/p>\n<p>There are many towns to visit and rediscover their cultural and historical authenticity, as the historical center of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comune.castelsanlorenzo.sa.it\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Castel San Lorenzo<\/strong><\/a>, where stands the ancient palace of the <strong>Princes Carafa<\/strong> in 1272 and the<strong> Sanctuary of the Madonna della Stella<\/strong> dating back to 1100.<br \/>\nRecall also that the village is located in the beautiful <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cilentoediano.it\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Cilento National Park<\/strong><\/a>, an oasis of green glades, elected by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.it\/cni\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Unesco<\/strong><\/a> World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n<p>[charme-gallery]<\/p>\n<p>There, in the ancient conglomerate, between houses and streets, visitors can take part in wine tasting sessions missed due to the best labels of the place as the <strong>Lambiccato, Moscato Spumante and Ros\u00e9 Castel San Lorenzo<\/strong>.<br \/>\nStill, with its 578 inhabitants and its noble palaces, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comune.montefortecilento.sa.it\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Monteforte Cilento<\/strong><\/a> represents another important step in the succulent &#8220;journey&#8221; to discover the wonders of the place.<br \/>\nHere complicit in the fertile soil of the woods, is the largest production of <strong>chestnuts<\/strong>.
