{"id":16317,"date":"2014-10-14T16:09:28","date_gmt":"2014-10-14T14:09:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/?p=16317"},"modified":"2014-10-14T16:12:18","modified_gmt":"2014-10-14T14:12:18","slug":"napoli-museo-san-gennaro-angioini-gioielli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/en\/cultura\/napoli-museo-san-gennaro-angioini-gioielli\/","title":{"rendered":"The precious of Partenope, on display at the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The treasures of<a title=\"Cavit\u00e0 di piazza Cavour, viaggio nel ventre oscuro di Napoli\" href=\"http:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/itinerari\/cavita-di-piazza-cavour-viaggio-nel-ventre-oscuro-di-napoli\/\"> <strong>Naples<\/strong><\/a> are put on display.<br \/>\nIt &#8216;currently underway, and will continue until December 31, 2014 at the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/news\/napoli-msueo-san-gennaro-maggio-dei-mnumenti\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong> Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro<\/strong><\/a> in via Duomo, the precious exhibition <strong>&#8220;Ori, silver, gems and enamels of the Angevin Naples&#8221;.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe exhibition, curated by<strong> Pierluigi Leone de Castris<\/strong> and organized in collaboration with the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.comune.napoli.it\/flex\/cm\/pages\/ServeBLOB.php\/L\/IT\/IDPagina\/16991\" target=\"_blank\"><strong> Department of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Naples<\/strong><\/a>, is part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forumculture.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Forum of Culture<\/strong><\/a> and traces the golden years of the city of Naples, under the dynasty <strong>Angevins<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt was a heyday for the city of the gulf, the one that goes from 1266 to 1381, the years when the city became for the first time, with the French family,<strong> a capital among the largest and most populous of Europe<\/strong> and the well-being poured on several fronts, thanks to the economic trade between the Mediterranean and European regions and urban planning, which was followed by construction of numerous sacred buildings such as the <strong>church of San Lorenzo, the Duomo, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/arte\/il-campanile-di-santa-chiara-presto-restaurato-restituito-ai-cittadini\/\" target=\"_blank\">Santa Clara<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/cultura\/fantasmi-leggende-napoli-visite-guidate\/\" target=\"_blank\">St. Dominic<\/a> and St. Maria la Nova<\/strong>.<br \/>\n[charme-gallery]<br \/>\nBut still, a strong impetus was given to the world of art with creative input of new artists arrived in the city, including impossible not to mention painters such as <strong>Giotto, Lello Orvieto, Simone Martini<\/strong>, or talented sculptors and considerable literary such as<strong> Petrarca<\/strong> and<strong> Boccaccio<\/strong>, and legend has it that the latter fell in love with the beloved Fiammetta, just between the streets of the city on the Gulf, and that she was none other than <strong>Maria d&#8217;Aquino<\/strong>, illegitimate daughter of King Robert.<br \/>\nSo in this enthralling whirlwind of love, poetry and art that invaded the city of Partenope under the regency side of the Alps, not marvel at the many examples of valuable exhibition, thirty specimens.<br \/>\nIn fact, we recall that the premises of the Museum of the Treasury will be able to see over <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/news\/il-sangue-di-san-gennaro-si-e-sciolto-napoli-puo-festeggiare\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>the relics of the torso and of the blood of San Gennaro<\/strong><\/a>, the cross lily donated by Charles II to the Basilica of San Nicola di Bari the precious miter with pearls and enamel of Scale and Amalfi; by pastoral Atri and<a title=\"Dalla scorza di limone, il nettare di Sorrento\" href=\"http:\/\/www.charmenapoli.it\/style\/limoncello-dalla-scorza-di-limone-il-nettare-di-sorrento\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong> Sorrento<\/strong><\/a> in the capsule-shaped gold leaf vine today at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.museoarcheologicocividale.beniculturali.it\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Museum of Cividale<\/strong><\/a>, built as a &#8220;Favor&#8221;
