As part of PROJECT XXI, the exhibition PROVOCATIONS AND MATCHES Franco Mello, between arts and design, curated by Giovanna Cassese and built at the Foundation Plart in via Martucci 48 in Naples.<\/p>\n
Donnaregina Plart Foundation and Foundation in partnership on this occasion with the aim of widening public reference and deepen new research methodologies, exploring the relationships constantly updated between art, architecture and design, and then set the scene for museum projects in able to embrace the broad spectrum of these relationships ..<\/p>\n
The broad expectation shows PROVOCATIONS AND MATCHES. Franco Mello between arts and design, is dedicated to leading and most radical production achievements of Franco Mello, author of contemporary design icons – such as hanger Cactus, designed in 1972 with Guido Drocco for the company Gufram – but especially exemplary figure of a designer who has believed from the beginning of his research, in the dialogue between the arts, as well as the Foundation Plart that hosts this exhibition.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will open March 9, 2017, at 19:00, in the spaces of Plart Foundation (via Martucci 48, Napoli), which will be open until June 3, 2017. The author will be present at and participate later also to workshop on the conservation and restoration of the design, provided the Foundation Plart April 4, 2017.<\/p>\n
That of Mello is a varied and complex production, ranging from design to photography, publishing graphics, and that sees him play the roles and functions as an artist, teacher, jewelry maker and creator of multimateriche installations.<\/p>\n
