Red gold is the tomato party that will take place in Sant’Antonio Abate from 13 to 16 July in the pastoral center Rosa Nova in Via Paolo Borsellino.<\/h3>\n

The kermesse is a celebration of everything around the tomato: traditions, collection techniques, recipes, curiosity. There will be a wide exhibition and sale of typical products, a show cooking, many traditional dishes and all having at least a common denominator the tomato (strictly assembled with products at km 0). And it does not end there. In fact, there are also menu for celiacs, live music, and many guests and their animation. A lot of content for a whole three days! Pasta, pizza, meatballs, caponate, fried pizza, mozzarella, fruit, desserts: a menu that can satisfy even the most demanding palate. Special guest of the first evening: the chef pizzaiolo Antonino Esposito, known for Alice TV.<\/p>\n

A healthy fun will then frame the entire weekend. Already on Friday 14 will be on stage Tony Tammaro. The next day, Saturday, 15, will be the turn of the group “When Good Good” and on Sunday 16, it will be the popular music of “I Vatt a ‘vott” to entertain the guests present.<\/p>\n

Red tomato red gold will not only be a kermesse dedicated to the succulent product of the earth. It is, in fact, the inauguration of an entrepreneurial project. Red gold will also serve the architectural refinement of the old factory where the center of Rosa Nova rises. In addition to this, it will also serve to strengthen the educational activities that have taken place since 2012, as well as the launch of new initiatives that will turn the center into a place for young people’s job placement. For some time Don Salvatore Branca and a group of about 200 people working on this project have acquired land (about 12,000 sq. M.) From which tomatoes and grain will be produced that will serve to create preserves and pasta that will then be sold under the brand “Red Gold”. The proceeds of this activity, together with the one obtained from the festival, will serve to make the Center more efficient and turn it into an employment flyer (the same people who will handle the production of these products will be regularly recruited).<\/p>\n
