Ravello Chocolate Festival. First edition


Ravello starts the new year in the sign of the sweet flavors. Here, in fact, it will host the first edition of the Ravello Chocolate Festival, a sensory journey into the world of chocolate along three days. Starting tomorrow and until 3 to 5 January.

The event will not just be the usual chocolate fair, but also a moment of knowledge for children and adults in the world of fine cocoa bean powder. For everyone, there will be show cooking (demonstrations of recipes) held by master chefs and confectioners in Bonadies Hotel rooms in the afternoons of May 3rd and January 4th, while inside the premises of the former registrar of the coastal town, in the square Fontana, will set up a veritable museum of chocolate. In the three days of the Festival, in the same square fountain, there will be food and wine area with the stands that will have only one purpose: the development of the taste of chocolate culture.

For the occasion it was also launched the contest “ChocoRavello – AAA chocolate Ravello Wanted”. Confectioners, chefs and chocolatiers will be invited to think about what other shapes and flavors to chocolate. Participation in the contest is free and open to Italian and foreign, individual candidates or groups of two people. The finalist projects will be presented during the final day of Ravello Chocolate Festival. The most interesting project, considered by a jury made up of chefs, pastry chefs and journalists, then be the official chocolate of Ravello in the world for the year 2017.
