Will as usual Piazza XX Settembre, will host from 9 to 11 October in Scisciano, a small town near Naples, the tasty “Sagra della Noce”, now in its nineteenth edition.

An event full of taste, but also of great fun, where to act as a “contour” culinary specialties also will provide musical performances, comedy and animation. October 9 to get on stage, in fact, will be the folk group of “I Pucinella”, 10 “La Paranza deltorchio” and the grand finale on the 11th night with the hilarious Tony Tammaro.

In the lineup during the intense three days, new dishes, both the first and the second not to mention desserts and liqueurs, all inspired by tradition, and sometimes revisited with a touch of originality, but always based on the main character of the event: the Walnut. And for lovers of classic simplicity, the opportunity to taste, the natural fruit of the tree so dear to the greek god Dionysus.

Native to Asia Minor, imported from Greece around 100 BC in Sicily and that spread from there throughout Europe, walnuts have always characterized the economy of the territory of the Agro Nolan, whose Scisciano has done and continues to be part of. A fruit from the many organoleptic qualities not only, but also beneficial to health, has become over time the basis of many traditional dishes of Campania and Italian.

It is this tradition or rather the rediscovery and revival, the engine of every edition of the “Festival of the Walnut”, always Arcifelix Scisciano license plate, with the support of the city administration.
