Great music to Campi Flegrei Pozzuoli with the Jazz Festival

The Solfatara Volcano, from which it starts, the remains of the Temple of Neptune, the fortress of the Rione Terra, a symbol of the city of Pozzuoli, the striking dock fishermen of Pozzuoli “U ‘Valjone”, the enchanting scenery and the romantic beaches Lucrino and Miseno. These fabulous location s news of the festival.

A trip on the harmonious notes of artists from the likes of Enzo Pietropaoli and his Quartet Yatra (this, on July 5 at the Temple of Neptune), and even the “senator of Jazz” Lino Patruno with His Blue Four (him on July 11 to Navy Miseno) and their tribute to Joe Venuti and Eddie Lang; and yet Daniele Sepe, special guest at an exhibition of the group Kefaya & Slivovitz (June 27 to Solfatara) with their imprint ethnic rhythms and European, Indian, African and Caribbean. But there will be ample space to Jazz band as with the Tribunal Mist Jazz Band (July 2 to Rione Terra), which is a collective made up of musicians-professionals, directed by Antonio Solimene, featuring orchestral pieces by Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie , Duke Ellington.

Also room for new talent from the group of Pepper and the Jellies (4 July to dock in Pozzuoli), whose extraordinary voice featuring the vocalist Ilenia Appicciafuoco, heir with his outstanding portrayal of jazz 20s and 30s , Empress of the Blues Bessie Smith. And there is also another recent and popular young Californian artist. The winner in 2014 of the Soul Album of the Year and Best New Artist and Best recognized male voice 2015, namely Jarrod Lawson (he, on the bill on July 12 to Solfatara). Jar is appreciated as a composer, keyboardist and vocalist strongly inspired by the likes of Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway.

And finally there will be the Chamber Soul (exactly on July 17 at the Lido Garden, Lucrino), which is the band of the brothers Piero and Pippo Lombardo. They leave from the jazz-bossa arriving at the kind soul-funk, attracting artists such as EWF, Al Jarreau, Jamiroquai. It will close on July 19 with the final round in one of the Jazz Club, among many of the area, who will be affected throughout the exhibition by musical evenings, combined with gastronomic proposals.

The festival, which this year received the thanks of UNESCO and the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz for honoring and therefore brought in Italy, and more specifically in the Gulf of Partenope the International Day of Jazz.
