Antonio Gibotta’s India stops to Kromìa

samsara

It’s the fascinating and suggestive India, of many colors and many contradictions, the protagonist of “Samsara”, the first Neapolitan exhibition of award-winning photojournalist Gibotta Antonio, which will open Friday, March 13, at 19, in the space of Kromìa via Diodato Lioy 11 in Naples.

Twelve beautiful photographs taken by the young virtuoso artist avellinese at a cremation ceremony and at Holi Festival, the ritual-Hindu celebration of spring, a hymn to color and life, presented to the public just round the days of the traditional celebration. Specializing in reportage, Gibotta, managed to carve out some time, his own photographic Id, which suffers from its strong personality. At the center of his goal, the man and the relevance of social issues. His photography needs no words or sounds to be told: screams with its silence, deep and enigmatic as its black. The photograph of Antonio can vibrate the strings of the emotion of the observer always maintaining a dose of mystery. A feeling that captures beyond the visible, a particular gift that produces images that speak with simplicity and grace, without abstractions or confusion.
