FANTASTIC LITURGIES HOLY WEEK is an event that the Neapolitan Academy of Music, founded in 1933 by Alfredo Casella, dedicated to an unprecedented vision of the Easter celebrations, after ‘Music of the Spirit’ of the Christmas period. The first evening, Thursday, March 24, is to run for the first time in Naples opera Estaba direct Mother by its author Luis Bacalov (Oscar 1995 Award for the music of Il Postino) with the simultaneous screening of several films related to Argentine mothers of the disappeared during the dictatorship, exactly forty years from that inauspicious March 24, and Argentina now coincides with Human rights Day. The campa have a strong symbolic value, capable of binding all men in a common feeling and a universal emotional and religious expression. They are also a musical instrument. The bell is a cast product, a delicate balance that shapes an impressive instrument to strength and appearance. The show will stage 25 of tuned bronze bells, beatings and put into vibration with different types of flying or pedal and some will also be used to expanse being able to rotate on themselves to 360 degrees. Connected to the stage and also included in the performance of bell bells close to the place of the show. Will be employed, in addition, numerous small bronze bells and other types of bells also in iron and brass. Bell and Sonus trace a new path made of sounds, lights and images that recall the fiery river of molten bronze that runs to the empty form that will become Campana. The compositional attention is given especially to the tone, the rhythm, the trajectories of the sound and images. The musical content of the performances offer listening and presentation of songs from the early Middle Ages, a time when the church bells were to be introduced in Europe, up to ‘900. The most significant authors cover a time span ranging from Palestrina to Reich.
