At the Pan Naples exhibition of the artist who seduced Obama

It is known to history, at least one of Street Art, for giving form and color, in 2008, the original poster in full color with stylized image of Barack Obama, which has become, in less than no time, the symbol of the campaign of the future President the United States. Transformed into a pop icon, as well as Andy Warhol did with Marilyn Monroe, Mao, and the Campbell’s soup. A poster, the art critic of The New Yorker, Peter Schjeldahl, even called it “the most efficacious American political illustration since Uncle Sam.”

His name is Obey, aka Shepard Fairey, currently among the most influential authors of the contemporary scene and one of the most celebrated street artist Americans, from 6 December to 28 February, will be at the Pan Palazzo delle Arti Napoli, proposing, for the first time in an Italian museum, 60 works that tell his stylistic evolution.

From the series made for the city of Venice, Capitol Hill, the monumental canvas, never before exhibited, works from private collections. The exhibition is curated by Massimo Sgroi and organized by non-profit me, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism for the City of Naples.
