In Naples, the “Francesco Rosi day”

It will be the impressive Hall of the Barons of Maschio Angioino of Naples, will host tomorrow, March 3, starting at 11:30, the first of a series of events dedicated to the great Neapolitan director Francesco Rosi, who died last January. To kick off the commemorative day, a meeting attended by, among others, the Mayor Luigi de Magistris, Carolina and Massimo Rosi, Luca De Filippo, Roberto Andò, Raffaele La Capria, Mario Martone and Giuseppe Tornatore. During the morning, in the Hall, symbol of one of the most important films of the director: “Hands Over the City”, will be screened “Citizen Rosi tribute to a great master of cinema” by Arci Movie. In the afternoon, however, to 16, in the auditorium of the University Federico II, Corso Umberto I 40, held the conference “From Hands city to Naples contemporary”, which provides evidence of Massimo Rosi and Raffaele La Capria. The day, dedicated to the director, intends to, among other things, attention to the historical value that has taken the work of the Master Rosi reading of urban transformations of the 60s in Naples and in Italy and as such document may represent an analysis tool for the development of the contemporary city. The day will end at the cinema Astra Via Mezzocannone that, by 19, will host a screening of the film “Hands Over the City”, followed by a discussion.
