A Nusco, the “Night of bonfires” with music, food and folklore

It promises to be magical next weekend in the province of Avellino. A Nusco, to be precise, where on Saturday 17 and Sunday, January 18 will take shape “The Night of Bonfire”, centuries-old tradition in honor of Saint Anthony: first stop of “Events in the Park”, a project to promote and enhance territorial sponsored by Regional Park Picentini. The event, organized by proloco Balcony Irpinia in collaboration with the municipality of Nusco, is proposed as a real journey in the folk tradition in the name of music and folklore, tastings, workshops and guided tours in the historic center of one of the 200 most beautiful villages in Italy. Do not miss Saturday, the workshop “The fire between the sacred and the profane”, the traditional lighting of the bonfire at 17, the food stands and craft and animation of masked groups and music performances. Sunday, however, workshop on “Typicality and tradition in Irpinia” and tasting of typical products. Both days, guided by Irpinia Trekking by Our Lady of the Fontigliano Montagnone (Saturday, from 9 to 15) and from S. Amato Abbey of Goleto (Sunday, from 9 to 13).
