An exhibition that aims to probe the function of the current picture, the ability of young artists represent the new contaminants of digital and writers, the vision of a humanity on the way to a new dimension of pollution, where man and signs the consumer interact up to become the new entity. In setting, by Gianni Nappa, organized by Fonoteca and ResetArt, the pictorial language of Conte shows similarities with the fathers of Pop Art, the expressionistic and the spirit of Dada that often leads him to elaborate puns and seek with contamination other artistic disciplines. For example, many titles of his works evoke texts of songs, books or movies. The supports of his paintings range from the more traditional ones, such as canvas and wood, to the more unusual, such as newspapers, wrapping paper and, in recent years, advertising materials. In these recent works, in particular, the artist complaint particular attention to the nature exquisitely expressive material forming a surface already provided with a charge aesthetic and communicative, in which the intervention pictorial overlaps only partially leaving a glimpse of some elements starting. In their choice of the individual poster and in the difficulty of his recovery comes in a Dadaist component linked to the case and the immanence of the work, as well as the here and now of its realization. “In my research space time – says the artist – all that “I produce” was born from a series of coincidences, fortuitous if we like a sponge and absorb everything around us: from billboards to posters of concerts, through leaflets that I find on the street and postcards in pubs that become against their starting surface for my painting”. Works made here and now, because of those posters, playbills and on those on those posters of the eye artist has settled… Here and now. Elsewhere it would not be possible or would be possible, but in a completely different way.
