A unique journey to discover the power and the power of primordial sounds and then compounds via or from the magic of music, from the most ancient to the contemporary. And ‘This is the soul and the theme of the XIV edition of Convivio Armonico 2015, Early Music in the Body of Naples, organized by Area Art, music association, active in Naples for 20 years in the research and study of music of all times and particularly in the recovery of the deepest Neapolitan musical tradition of the ‘700.

The festival this year is divided into two sections of prestigious concerts and meetings:

Music at the Museum, from April 24 to May 29 at the Nile Museum Shop (in P.tta Nile), in the programming of May of Monuments. The unique art workshop and events, in the heart of the historic center of Naples, it is an experimental space for listening and spread of an ancient music and deep tradition of our city.

The first of the six events is Friday, April 24th (19.00) with Synaulia Walter Maioli. The sounds of ancient Rome and the power of high-pitched sounds. A fascinating encounter where you will be transported to the knowledge of the sounds of ancient Rome and the therapeutic power and regenerating treble harmonious.

Will be presented sound objects, voices of Nature and musical instruments of Prehistory, Antiquity and the Future: rattlesnakes, castanets, cymbals, bells, tintinnaboli, flutes, crystals, bones, stones and shells prehistoric and ancient. Looking for sounds that can produce frequencies and rhythmic impulses capable of activating the psyche, harmonize and raise the sensory spheres.

The entrance to this first event is free.

Place in the later dates: the 700 Neapolitan Baroque Ensemble The Chamber Music, soloists and Renata Rosa Montano Cataldi, with concerts for flute, arias and sonatas (May 1), the fresh and young Trio Reger (May 8), the contemporary sounds of Marco Ciannella (May 15), the precious presence of cellist LucaSignorini with A / Solo recital (22 May) and the Ancient Strings Baroque guitar and theorbo with Joseph Petrella (May 29).

Sounds in the holy places, however, is the second section of the exhibition with two appointments. The concert “Viva Verdi” at the Royal and Pontifical Basilica of St. Francis of Paola in Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples, Sunday, May 24, which will see the union of Choral del Plebiscito with Bellarus Choir conducted by Maestro Rosa Montano and the Clair ensemble conducted by Maestro Michele Pepe. And the Baroque Ensemble The Chamber Music at the Church of St. Angelo a Nilo in Piazzetta Nilo, June 1 with a proposal for a rarity of ‘700 Napoletano dedicated to the Marian cult. Between sacred and instrumental music unpublished, with Rosa Montano, Giusto D’Auria and Renata Cataldi soloists.

And finally Convivio bring the music tradition in Rome and Abruzzo in July with concerts, meetings and seminars on the repertoires of the Neapolitan School of the ‘700
