Will the San Paolo Maggiore church in Naples, in Piazza San Gaetano, to host Saturday, November 14, at 19, the first concert of “Neapolitan Shakespeare”, project by Gianni Lamagna that has created an interesting disc recently published by Europhone Records label.

An innovative experiment, came to light after two years of gestation, starring 17 sonnets of well-known English poet set to music and translated into Neapolitan.

The result is very modern and speaks to hearts in a cross to space and time. Lamagna, instilled it in this work years of professional and human experience and brings together the music of the ‘700 with folk, country, Irish music, the Beatles, the band tradition, love for Brazilian composers… The result is a clever mix of cultural traditions and atmosphere impact strongly suggestive.

For the occasion, Naples “marry” the London of the “golden age” of music and love, the same as Shakespeare knew how to sing in his sonnets, exposing the secrets and the folds of the soul in a way amazing.
