At the Botanical Gardens of Naples, the “Tree Day 2015”

Gardening classes for adults and children, lectures, guided tours, a fun treasure hunt, creative painting workshops, music, folk dances, book presentations and a colorful market with plants, fruits, natural products and handicrafts.

Back, 20 to 22 November, from 9 to 14, at the Botanical Garden of Naples, in via Foria, the wait “Tree Day” now in its fifth edition.

The purpose of the event, with free admission, is to raise awareness on the real state of the assets urban green, in order to involve them in actions that could protect local plant component for a better quality of life.

Theme of the event: the wood and monumental trees, priceless heritage to be preserved. The educational tour will be dedicated to the main fact trees wooden world’s most popular and cultivated in areas of the Botanical Garden of the University of Naples “Federico II”.

Not to be missed, inter alia, during intense three days, the meeting-workshop to discover the virtues of the aromatic plants and prepare natural products, demonstrations of weave of fibers of chestnut and olive for the realization of baskets, the natural design exhibition curated by Rosaria Manco, and the presentation of the book “The mystery of the cursed book” set between the Botanical Gardens and Via Foria, edited by Ugo Cundari.

Will close the event on Sunday, starting at 12, the concert of youth “Musica Libera Tutti” of Scampia, conducted by Maurizio Tessitore, preceded by the flash mob “Embrace the Tree”.
