The museum Madre adheres to the “European Night of Museums”

This year the museum Madre in Naples adheres to the “European Night of Museums” scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2015 offering a special opening until 11.00 hours pm, with entrance to 1 euro from 7:30 hours pm (ticket office closes  9:30 pm). Another reason to visit, night in both the permanent collections of the museum – from site-specific works on the first floor to the works presented in various areas of the museum as part of the ongoing project “to form” collection – is the temporary exhibitions in progress . Among these are: “DANIEL BUREN. As a child play work in situ, 2014-2015, Mother, Naples – # 1” (room Re_PUBBLICA MOTHER, until 31 August 2015), the large installation in situ in collaboration with the Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain in Strasbourg, with which the French artist, Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 1986, has transformed the large room on the ground floor of the museum in a space-game buildings with life-size; “STURTEVANT. Sturtevant Sturtevant“, the first retrospective exhibition dedicated to an Italian public institution in one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century, the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 2011, Elaine Sturtevant (third floor, up to September 21, 2015 ), edited by Stéphanie Moisdon.
