It will once again De Marco square, will host from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 May, the “White Artichoke of Pertosa Festival” now in its twenty-first edition. A tasty event, born with the intention of promoting a product of excellence that threatened to disappear from our tables, which allow visitors to appreciate this jewel in the crown of the local cuisine through exquisite dishes prepared with love by the ladies of the place according to traditional recipes.
Undisputed star, the white artichoke Slow Food, niche product unique and extraordinary potential, grown exclusively in the municipalities of Pertosa, Auletta, Caggiano and Salvitelle.
The festival, also open for lunch from noon to 15 hours, will be marked by a joyful and relaxing, with a strong social gathering and a joint effort by many volunteers who strive with dedication to its success. Not surprisingly, the proceeds will be donated to the charities and the various activities of the Parish Santa Maria delle Grazie whose Festival Committee is the main person involved in the organization, it made possible thanks to the City of Pertosa and Manufacturers of Artichoke White Pertosa.
But not only food. For the occasion, the visitors can also take advantage to learn more about the area rich in beauty. During the days of the festival, in fact, you can visit the beautiful caves that attract about 100,000 visitors each year and the MIdA 01 and 02, Multimedia Museum geo-speleological not far from piazza De Marco.
