Summer of culture in the city of the poet Tasso. And ‘at the start the project “Open Doors to Sorrento culture”, an initiative organized by the Peninsula Felix Young Association held open until October 31, the Pontifical Basilica dedicated to St. Antonino Abate, patron saint and protector of Sorrento, in his normal closing band afternoon (from h: 12.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m). After the great success of the previous editions, the project developed for the summer 2014 was enriched with new content.

The volunteers of the association, in fact, together with the activity of acceptance and promotion of religious and tourist place, will play in contemporary historical research on the major monuments of the historical center of Sorrento. Study objective: make a mini mapping of local sites, then put firmly on the network in the near future to enhance the cultural and tourist offer of the town of Sorrento. The project was coordinated by Luigi Di Prisco as head of cultural activities for the Peninsula Felix Young Association.

“Even this year – says Di Prisco – we are going to live another summer full of events dedicated to the enhancement of important cultural sites, heritage of history and religion of the Sorrento community”.
