Soul and shellfish

If pizza had a soul it would be found at Naples’ famous “Anema e Cozze” pizzeria in Via Partenope near the rocks where the legendary mermaid came to die. Guests can choose between the delightful indoor premises or the splendid view from outdoors, but the heart of “Anema e Cozze” is pizza, whose fragrant aroma is a secret that the pizzaioli do not tell. We recommend the Tartufata (provola, ham, truffle cream and porcini mushrooms) or Carciofata (creamed artichokes, provola and ham), but the owners suggest you do not miss the more traditional ’N’drezzata (cherry tomatoes, mussels, rocket, chilli and olive oil) or Mozzarellara (cheese sauce, mozzarella, provola and fresh courgette flowers). While you wait, why not ask the friendly staff for a mixed fried hors d’oeuvres or a fresh seafood appetiser.
